Being a independent living option in Denver, we hear a lot of talk about yoga and the benefits it provides. The good news is, it is everywhere and it’s never too late to start! People have used yoga to heal after events such as bypass operations, psychological traumas, and anything in between. The woman in this article has a goal, and that is to bring yoga to those over 50.

Many people start yoga with a specific goal in mind — to alleviate back pain, reduce stress or improve their golf swing — but the practice can result in head-to-toe, full-body benefits.

Yoga is a bit of a workout because of the different poses and the balance it requires, but it does allow for the mind the wind-down and to relax. People connect with the meditative state and appreciate the break it gives to the body.
